Rifqi Amirul (b. 1994) is a multi-disciplinary artist who graduated with a diploma in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts in 2014. Having to be able to work in various disciplines in art, his works challenge the boundaries of traditional and the contemporary medium and its techniques.

Rifqi is interested in exploring ideas relating to ‘transitional spaces’ and especially, issues dealing with migration, cultural displacements and suburban/intercultural politics.

He probes into the construction of personal boundaries that defines one’s purpose and sentimentality towards a place. He describes the personal connection one has to a place, which may not necessarily be a typical home, but could relate to a sense of familiarity, a tradition or a regular activity that becomes a part of one’s identity.

He has also participated in exhibitions such as "Proposals For Waterloo" NOISE Art Mentorship Showcase, Waterloo Centre, "The Grass is Greener on The Other Side" -Winston Oh Travelogue Award Exhibition, Brother Joseph McNally Gallery.
